I’ve planned many very successful conferences and professional development events in my time. I have a huge amount of respect for the work and planning that goes into them.
I also have a tremendous amount of respect and gratitude for the sponsors who help make the event possible.
Years ago, I learned that sponsors make the events we attend possible. Their generosity keeps events from raising fees year after year so more companies can send their HR teams. Sponsors help pay for top-notch speakers and cover expenses like food and adult beverages.
In exchange for their sponsorship, companies hope you’ll stop by their booth, say hello, and take their marketing material. They hope that, when your company needs a product or service, you’ll think of them and how they supported that event. And they hope you’ll at least give them the opportunity to bid or submit a proposal.
Why am I bringing this up? Because the HR Technology Conference is October 7-9 in Las Vegas at one of my fave hotels – Mandalay Bay (be sure to go to Burger Bar). If you’re in the mood to talk human resources and technology, this is the place to be. The conference planning team has graciously extended a discount code to all the terrific HR Bartender readers. Just enter BARTENDER13 (all caps) on your registration form to save $500. Sweet!
Download the HR Tech Conference brochure here to check out the program lineup. For certified professionals, the program has been approved for 9.75 recertification credits.
Many of the sponsors and exhibitors at HR Tech are also friends and sponsors of HR Bartender – Career Engagement Group, Glassdoor, Halogen Software, iCIMS, Kronos, SilkRoad, TalentWise, The Resumator, and Ultimate Software. I hope if you attend the conference, you’ll stop by their booths and say hello.
And thank them for their support of HR Tech, human resources and HR Bartender. Cheers!0
