For those of you in the United States, Happy Thanksgiving!
Each of us has our own individual way of expressing thanks. You’ve seen Facebook activities where one person tags a friend and they list what they’re grateful for. Or possibly gratitude journals, whether they’re paper or an app. I found this very cool post idea for expressing thanks on a blog called “Meet Me at Mike’s”. You put together a list of what’s happening (i.e. taking stock in life).
The author encourages readers to put together their own “Taking Stock” lists and I couldn’t think of a better day to run it or a nicer group of people to share it with. I will forewarn you…if you try this for yourself, it’s not as easy as it looks. Making the activity all the more worthwhile.
Making: A beaded necklace to take with me on vacation.
Cooking: Only side dishes. We bought a smoked turkey this year.
Drinking: Love Lady Gray tea. It may be even better than Earl Gray.

Wanting: To take another photo safari tour. Maybe in Miami.
Looking: At the Twitter hashtag for my MBTI type. Interesting.

Deciding: Should I cut my hair?
Wishing: Weekends were longer.
Waiting: For the Apple watch…are you?
Wondering: Which is better – Pandora, Spotify, or iTunes Radio?
Pondering: My next blog post
Considering: Starting a personal blog. Your thoughts?
Watching: Football. My fantasy team is doing pretty well this year.
Hoping: To take more walks
Marveling: At how much is already on my 2015 calendar. Exciting!
Needing: A new bag to hold tech stuff (i.e. cords, chargers, etc.)
Smelling: Vanilla – my favorite scent (Bacon is second).
Wearing: Thanksgiving is about pajamas – all day.
Noticing: How wellness and wearables are changing our lives.
Knowing: I’ll share details about my first book soon. Promise!
Thinking: I’m fortunate for HR Bartender readers.
Feeling: Grateful for my health

Wishing: Autumn actually happened in South Florida.
Helping: Entrepreneurs make their ideas reality with Indiegogo.
Hearing: Quiet is bliss.
Have you taken stock in your life lately? What would your list look like? If you decide to do this activity, share your thoughts in the comments.
Mr. Bartender and I thank you for your support and wish you nothing but the best for the holiday season. Cheers!
