In addition to her writing and consulting work, Sharlyn is an in-demand speaker who enjoys sharing her work experiences with HR and business audiences throughout the world. She has presented on strategic planning at the Annual Conference of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).  She’s been a top speaker at HR Southwest for three years running and was rated one of the top speakers at SHRM’s Employment Management Association conference.  Her workshop on human resources metrics was one of a handful selected to be featured as an on-line learning program for SHRM.

Her latest books, The Recruiter’s Handbook: A Complete Guide for Sourcing, Selecting, and Engaging the Best Talent and Manager Onboarding: 5 Steps for Setting New Leaders Up for Success was published by SHRM. Her first book, Essential Meeting Blueprints for Managers was released in March 2015.

Sharlyn has also authored four ATD InfoLines including Motivating Employees and Motivating Employees In the Digital Age. Finally, she was a contributing author to The ATD Management Development Handbook.
