Going With the Flow – Friday Distraction

By now, you’ve probably heard of binge watching. It’s when you watch television for long spans of time, usually only watching one show. Services like Amazon Prime and Netflix have made binge watching pretty popular.

I have to admit Mr. Bartender and I do our fair share of binge watching. We were a bit behind the curve with  shows like Downton Abbey, Warehouse 13, and Eureka when they first came out. It’s also fun reading what my Facebook friends are watching. I find ideas for new shows.

But there’s a downside to binge watching. We get to a cliffhanger and want to know what happens next – even though it’s very, very late on a weeknight! That’s why I couldn’t help but laugh at today’s Time Well Spent from our friends at Kronos. How many times have you said “just one more episode!” ha.ha.

Time Well Spent, binge, binge watching, television, streaming, Kronos, business, working

But the same idea applies to business. When we’re caught up in the moment, it might make sense to keep working. When the team is close to that breakthrough, it could be helpful to extend the meeting.

[Tweet “There are times when we need to just keep working”]

There are times when it makes absolute sense to stop and pick the project up another day. Then there are times when we need to go with the flow and just keep working.
