Quick Shots for #HR and #Business Pros – December 2014
I hope you and yours are enjoying the December holidays. This time of year reminds me of my early career when I worked during the holidays. Working in hospitality and transportation, we were open 24/7/365. It was fun going into work on Christmas Day to decorate the employee cafeteria and wish employees a wonderful holiday. I had the opportunity to share some of my holiday stories on the latest Workforce Institute podcast on “Employee Engagement During the Holidays”. I hope you’ll take a listen. It applies to any holiday, not just the December ones.
Speaking of the holidays, I know one of the things I’m guilty of is taking lots of pictures. And unfortunately, not organizing them. The Cleen app allows you to declutter your iPhone photo library. (Sorry Android fans, it looks like they haven’t released an Android version yet.)
Oh, and during my recent travels, I discovered this comic book that tells you everything you need to know about copyright. I know it’s so tempting to insert that movie clip or song into your training programs to add some pizzazz, but you need to make sure you’re not breaking copyright rules.
