Good Management Is Like a Fine Wine – Friday Distraction

Have you ever been to a wine tasting? Or maybe seen one on television? The winemaker holds up the glass of wine and talks about the qualities of the wine:

“…still quite tight with flavors that are so precise that they seem to etch themselves into your palate before joining with a seamless finish that I can still taste two months later…”

“…you can only hold onto your seat through this gustatory roller-coaster…”

You get the idea. While the descriptions above might make you laugh, a great wine is the result of hard work and dedication. Today’s Time Well Spent from our friends at Kronos reminded me that management has the same demand of hard work and dedication as a fine wine.

Time Well Spent, Kronos, wine, management, practice, work, dedication

Being a good manager doesn’t happen overnight. It takes lots of practice. And desire. As a manager, we have to change our recipe for success every once in a while. Then we find exactly the right blend of tools and methods to go from being good to great.
