Working From Anywhere – Friday Distraction

One of the best things about my work is that much of it I can do from just about anywhere.

Now that hasn’t always been true. When I started my company, I could work on my laptop but “the cloud” really wasn’t around back then. So every time I wanted to work remotely, it was a production – put the files on the laptop, etc. I really had to think of everything. Otherwise I’d get to Starbucks and face palm! I forgot a file. Gotta go home.

Kinda defeats the purpose of being able to work from anywhere.

Things are much different today. I can work while I’m waiting at the doctor’s office. Or as our friends from Kronos point out in this Time Well Spent, I can “work” while I’m “working” on my tan.

Years ago, we would have never thought that tasks such as scheduling could be done from anywhere. Today, we can’t imagine being confined to an office when working on the schedule.
