We All See Things Differently – Friday Distraction

I enjoy art. One of my first jobs was as an artist. I created limited edition serigraphs, etchings and paper sculptures. Over the years, I’ve developed a very broad definition of what constitutes art. For example, I think graffiti is art. Food is art.

So I couldn’t resist sharing with you this cartoon from our friends at Kronos. Salvador Dali’s The Persistence of Memory is a classic. What strikes me about this Time Well Spent cartoon is that the painting serves as a reminder for workforce management systems. Some people have interpreted the Dali work as being “unconscious symbols of the relativity of space and time”. Dali said the piece represented Camembert cheese melting in the sun.

Proof that we all see things differently.

If you’re a fan of Dali and ever find yourself in St. Petersburg, Florida, be sure to check out The Dali Museum. They do house The Hallucinogenic Toreador, another famous piece.  Enjoy the weekend!
