While both innovation and employees are important, they’re aren’t exclusive of each other.

Today’s cartoon from our friends at Kronos reminded me how important it is to have equal focus on every critical aspect of our operation. In this case, if you’re paying attention to everything but labor cost…well, guess what expense goes spiraling out of control?

Sometimes I find that the things companies don’t focus on are the things they either don’t like to do or admit they aren’t good it. If that’s true, then it’s time to find a partner who will bring value. Surround yourself with people who are different. It still works.
