Are You Qualified – Friday Distraction
This Kronos cartoon brought a smile but also reminded me of the importance in recognizing interview biases. It can be very easy to immediately connect with someone and forget to ask the questions that ensure someone is qualified for the job.
Even though a candidate might appear to have all the right experience and skills on their application, we still have to ask the right questions to confirm it. Forgetting to ask a question could end up being a problem…after all, who wants to be the dummy in the room?
