With the Presidential election season upon us, I couldn’t resist sharing this cartoon from Kronos. If you’ve ever written a schedule, you know the feeling.
While the needs of the company must always be met, we can often meet the needs of employees at the same time. It reminds me of one of the “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” – Think Win Win. The key is being willing to invest some extra effort, maybe a little creativity and knowing what everyone wants.
I’ve always found it easier to deal with the challenge of creating compromise on the front end instead of managing the fallout after the fact.
