HR Lessons From the Movies

There are business lessons everywhere.  I’ve been reminded about business in everything from playing fantasy football to watching Mythbusters.  It’s no surprise, then, that you can even glean business insights from watching movies.

TLNT is running a special series right now called “HR and the Movies”.  They’ve asked HR bloggers to write about the business lessons you can learn from watching your favorite flicks.  The series started a few days ago and will run until the Oscar Awards on February 27.

I’m delighted to say that they’ve invited yours truly to be a contributor to the series.  The movie I chose was The Secrets of My Success starring Michael J. Fox.  It’s a great film that’s truly fun to watch.  And it should get you ready to see this keynote speaker before he takes the stage at the SHRM Annual Conference in June.  I hope you’ll check it out when you have the chance.

Also, grab some popcorn or Raisinets and be sure to read the other movies already discussed including “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers”, “The Shawshank Redemption”, “Black Swan”, “Trading Places”, and “Up in the Air”.

Thanks to TLNT for including me in this fun and informative special event.  Cheers!
