The Gift of Information

Are you looking for your next great opportunity?  Maybe something better or even something new.  Maybe you just need something, period.  What if a friend came to you today and said there was a place in your town where you could talk with dozens of recruiters?  And there would be folks from some of the greatest employers in the world.  On top of that, there would be resources to help you…resume writing, interviewing, and personal branding.  Oh, and you could talk and network with hundreds of colleagues.  What if it was FREE to attend?

Earlier this week, I wrote a post about taking the JobAngels pledge to help one person find a job.  After I published the post, it occurred to me that there’s a place where you can direct people.  This place has:

If I were looking for a job (or any kind of opportunity for that matter), I’d want to make sure I was tapped into this place.  I’d want to know what’s happening.  What people are talking about. And, I’d want to get that info the moment it takes place.  Not days later when it’s old news.

What’s this place you ask?  Of course, I’m referring to Twitter.

Why not send your friends and colleagues the gift of information? If you’re using Twitter, send this to someone to help them get started.  If you’re not on Twitter, I encourage you to give it a try.  It does take a little getting used to, but it’s a great resource.  And, it’s FREE.

I can’t think of a single person who couldn’t use a free resource for information, business opportunities, and job resources right now.  Think about it.  You’ve got nothing to lose and everything to gain.
