Elite Eight

For those of you who’ve been following the latest Carnival of HR, you know the theme is March Madness and the best of the best in human resources blogging are competing for the coveted title (and a competitive bunch we are, I might add).  The Bartender has had some super tough match ups:  Steve Boese’s HR Technology and The Recruiter Guy.

A humongous thanks to everyone for voting for me.  Thanks to you, HR Bartender has progressed to the Elite Eight.  I don’t really think I’ve been Elite anything before . . .

My match up this round is none other than the person who created this March Madness theme…Kris Dunn at The HR Capitalist.  I like his blog and consider him a friend (even though we’ve never met).  He’s always been very gracious to take my calls and answer questions about blogging.  He was the first person I quoted in my blog.  (Yes, the Bartender can be sentimental at times.)

It will be a tough round.  But all that being said…this doesn’t mean I’m flinging my competitive spirit out the window.  So I’m asking for your votes once again.  Click HERE to cast your vote – the survey is at the end of the post.

Think of this round like the Scene from Super Bowl XLII.  The New England Patriots were 16-0 going into the game.  Along comes the little ole’ New York Giants…no one thought they could beat the undefeated champs.  And, guess what happened…in the final seconds of the game, the Giants scored giving them the win.

I have no idea what I will do if I make it to the Final Four…maybe I’ll buy everyone who voted for me a round of drinks or something…
