I want to give a huge shout out to some of my fellow human resources colleagues for sharing their wisdom and expertise on my latest Mashable article, “The Future of Human Resources and Social Media.”
Please take a moment to check out their comments in the post. These are professionals who truly get it – not only when it comes to everyday human resources stuff but to understanding future technologies and the impact it can have on our workforce.
And when you get done reading the post, be sure to visit their individual blogs and follow their Twitter accounts.

Hi Sharyn,
Another great article.
I think what you say about social media’s power to drive innovation is really on the money, particularly for large companies. It provides a convergence point where ideas can be freely expressed and read by other employees. The ‘level playing field’ nature of social media also negates the hierarchical structure of these companies, meaning that the level of input from lower level staff is far higher.
We wrote an article for our blog on just this subject a week or so ago. We also touch on the increasingly invasive use of social media by employers, and how, actually, social media should provide an invaluable insight into an employees tastes, interests and out-of-work life, rather than any skeletons in the closet. It can be read, here:
