We all know the people of Haiti are suffering from a disastrous earthquake that devastated their cities and countryside. And you’re probably asking yourself, “What can I do?” beyond the traditional requests to send money, give food/clothing, and donate blood. Laurie Ruettimann at Punk Rock HR wrote a great post last week on different ways you can help. Please be sure to check it out here.
I just discovered a new resource that I wanted to share. Last week, the White House created a widget which specifically links to information and resources about the situation in Haiti and how people can help. I put it here on HR Bartender and hope other bloggers will consider doing the same. It might even be something to consider for a company intranet so your employees can stay informed.
We all know that during times of crisis one of the most important things needed is consistent information.
Please join the HR Bartender Community in supporting the people of Haiti during this difficult time. Thanks!

Thanks Charlie! Most appreciated. BTW – your post about Haiti was terrific. People should click on the HR Fishbowl link and check it out.

Sharlyn,
Did you see Mike VanDervort’s call to action on this very topic? Perhaps you’d consider submitting this post. It’s terrific!
