		<description>You know, I&#039;ve been meaning to check this out, but I just haven&#039;t made it a priority.  I was on SHRM&#039;s HR Talk for about 10 years (!), so it&#039;s nice to see them embracing more current tools for networking.  I definitely want to support that effort.</description>

		<description>Great post Sharlyn.  I&#039;m actively involved with the SHRM Connect site, especially your social media group.  It&#039;s a great platform for us HR pros to network and collaborate on.  I do have two small issues with it though:

1.  SHRM can do a better job of selling the site.  Most of my colleagues do not know it exists except when I point out that I sent them an invitation to connect!

2.  SHRM Connect would be more dynamic if it stood outside of the main SHRM website. For example, if you&#039;re a member of a local chapter but not the national one, then you can&#039;t access the site.  In my opinion this doesn&#039;t make any sense.  This prevents SHRM from engaging the very people that complain that SHRM doesn&#039;t speak to the current needs of HR pros.
