I know money is tight and we all have a full plate. But when we know about legislation before it's enacted...then we can impact it. Otherwise, we are just reacting to it. Hopefully businesses are tuned into pending legislation (there's alot of it) and making sure their HR person/team is on top of what's happening. It was surprising for me to hear about some of the new things (i.e. possible worklife balance legislation?) I hear ya. I know money is tight and we all have a full plate. But when we know about legislation before it’s enacted…then we can impact it. Otherwise, we are just reacting to it.

Hopefully businesses are tuned into pending legislation (there’s alot of it) and making sure their HR person/team is on top of what’s happening. It was surprising for me to hear about some of the new things (i.e. possible worklife balance legislation?)

Nurses, doctors, police officers -- lots of positions that have historically been considered invulnerable to economic downturn are no longer protected.
