Yesterday was a very important day. No, not tax day. But the latest Carnival of HR was posted over at Maximizing Possibility. Chris Young writes a terrific blog so be sure to check it out. This collection is exceptional (and I’m not just saying that because I’m in it).
I hope Chris will forgive me for not posting about the Carnival yesterday. I just couldn’t bring myself to writing a post on tax day. Between the tea parties, pirates, and Thai protests, what’s good to write about? And don’t even get me started on Dominos and Blago. It all sounds so gloomy and the last thing I want to do is rain on his parade (no pun intended). So today happens to be the official “Day of the Mushroom.” Whip up your favorite shroom recipe and enjoy all the terrific reading.
Oh, and a P.S. I want to give a shout out to another great blogger, Michael Haberman, over at HR Observations. Mike was kind enough to give the Bartender a mention. Cheers!

Hi! I'm Sharlyn Lauby, an HR pro turned consultant. I created the HR Bartender blog so people would have a friendly place to discuss workplace issues. And since, over the years, I've developed an appreciation for the culinary arts (translation: I'm a Foodie) you'll see some of that here too. So, pull up a stool and order your favorite drink . . . the bar is always open.
