The 2009 Bloggies

Being a relative rookie to the blogging world, I learn something new every day.  For example, I just learned that there are Weblog Awards.  In fact, they’ve been around for almost 10 years (well, 9 years to be exact, but I think “almost 10″ sounds better.)

The “Bloggies” have several categories – including Best New Weblog.  A few friends have nominated HR Bartender in this category…and let me just say, you guys are awesome!

And, for those of you who haven’t sent in your fave blog nominations yet…there’s still time.  The window for nominations closes on Monday, January 12.

So just like a server who drops hints for big tips…well, I’m doing the same.  Heck, I’m not hinting…I’m shamelessly groveling for your nomination!  If you think HR Bartender is deserving, here’s all you need to do:

1. Visit Ninth Annual Weblog Awards:  The 2009 Bloggies
2. The Best New Weblog category is all the way on the right side of the page.  (No, I didn’t design this format.  Yes, it looks funky to me too.)
3. Just enter HR Bartender and our URL – www.hrbartender.com
4. Viola!  You’re done.  (You will receive an email to verify your nomination…don’t forget to look in your junk folder, so your vote counts.)

Oh, there is one thing.  You need to nominate 3 blogs at the same time.  So, here’s your chance to give a shout out to a blog you really enjoy.  Just in case you’re looking for a couple extra cool blogs to nominate:

You can write in Business Pundit (www.businesspundit) in the Lifetime Achievement category.  It’s a great blog and one the Bartender recommends highly.

And, So Good (www.sogoodblog) in the Best Food weblog.  This is a personal fave of the Foodie in me.
